Founded in 2008, Inquire Publication is a Queen’s University political publication. We provide a platform for students to engage with the issues shaping our campus, communities, our country, and the world.
At its core, Inquire exists to encourage thoughtful discussion about the social, economic, and political challenges of our time. We believe that respectful conversation is one of the most effective ways to combat ignorance, reduce political apathy, and challenge dogmatic thinking.
Inquire is proudly non-partisan and entirely student-run. We welcome contributions from writers across the social and political spectrum, and we do not endorse any political party, ideology, or movement. Instead, we reflect the diversity of political thought that exists within the Queen’s community, while being committed to creating an environment where students can share ideas without hostility or disrespect. Whether you hold progressive, conservative, libertarian, socialist, centrist, or otherwise unconventional views, your perspective deserves a place in the conversation.
Over the years, Inquire has collaborated with student publications at other institutions, including the University of Toronto and McMaster University. We hope to expand these partnerships and build connections with students across Canada.
Whether you are an experienced writer, a first-year student with a strong opinion, or simply looking to contribute to important conversations, we encourage you to get involved. We are always accepting article pitches and submissions on topics that matter to you.
If you’re interested in editing, design, leadership, or writing, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out to inquire@clubs.queensu.ca with a statement of interest and tell us how you’d like to get involved.
